Cassette tape production has been halted and all future production has been cancelled. The cassettes were based on 1970s-era DuPont Crolyn CrO2 and Ampex cobalt-doped formulations and were being manufactured using equipment once owned by Memorex. However, we have been having quality issues with some of the tape formulae, and have suspended development of this product line. Cassette tapes were a sideline to our business. We pursued the project simply as a means to help support the avid cassette tape community. However, the consensus from prominent tape-oriented web sites is that existing supplies of New Old Stock blank cassettes, as well as the inexpensive cassettes offered by National Audio Company and retail-packaged TDK branded cassette tapes sold by J & R, are adequate to serve the needs of the cassette tape collector. Contact National Audio Company for information about their products, and J & R to purchase TDK SM60 or TDK SA90 blank cassettes. Thank you to those who have purchased our cassette tapes in the past, as well as our technical partners who have been involved in this effort.

KVG Laboratories is upgrading its machine shop. The upgrades will enable us to produce better quality amplifier chassis and loudspeaker cabinets, in greater variety, faster than we have ever been able to do. Also, we are taking the unprecedented step of re-tooling to be able to make all of our speaker drivers in-house. Frankly, we're tired of having to compromise our designs by using speaker components made by other companies. The only way we can be confident of bringing you the best products is to have total control over the loudspeaker components. Many of our new speakers will be unique, and will offer a quality of sound that no one else has.
The machine shop will be closed during September 2009 while the new equipment is installed, and parts production is transferred over to it. Nevertheless, customer service is open and we can still accept consulting appointments and product orders.

During May 2009, the recording studio will be adding new equipment, replacing some old equipment that is no longer meets our standards, and undergoing long-needed repairs and maintenance. This means that you can expect a new line of excellent equipment, as well as new music recordings, to be released this summer and autumn. More news later!
