KVG Laboratories

KVG Laboratories KVG Laboratories is actively conducting a broad program of basic and applied research, development, engineering, testing, evaluation, and assessment into the fields of psychoacoustics, the design and operation of sound recording apparatus, the design and operation of sound reproduction apparatus, audio signal conditioning and processing, sound recording techniques, room acoustics for music reproduction, live performance and sound recording recording; music instrument design, and music instrument amplification and effects processing. To support our research efforts, we maintain one of the largest privately-held research libraries in North America, containing over 600,000 books, articles, white papers, reference works and specification sheets. The results of our research efforts are then developed into new products, training programs, and reference works that are made available to consumers, industry and original equipment manufacturers.

KVG Laboratories is upgrading its machine shop. The upgrades will enable us to produce better quality amplifier chassis and loudspeaker cabinets, in greater variety, faster than we have ever been able to do. Also, we are taking the unprecedented step of re-tooling to be able to make all of our speaker drivers in-house. Frankly, we're tired of having to compromise our designs by using speaker components made by other companies. The only way we can be confident of bringing you the best products is to have total control over the loudspeaker components. Many of our new speakers will be unique, and will offer a quality of sound that no one else has.

The machine shop will be closed during September 2009 while the new equipment is installed, and parts production is transferred over to it. Nevertheless, customer service is open and we can still accept consulting appointments and product orders.

This means that you can expect a new line of excellent equipment, as well as new music recordings, to be released this summer and autumn. More news later!
